Deer Creek Energy Limited (www.deercreekenergy.com) is a Calgary-based oil sands development company recently acquired by Total.  Shipley Management Services Ltd. (www.shipleymanagement.com) is an Alberta-based consulting firm specializing in aboriginal affairs and community development that works on behalf of Deer Creek Energy.  SKB Videography assisted in developing videos that explained the technical aspects of oilsands development to the three native communities that are stakeholders in the land being developed.  Deer Creek Energy is making a substantial investment to reduce the environmental footprint of the operation including leading-edge technology to recycle approximately 98 percent of the water used in the production of bitumen.  The videos were produced in the native languages of the three communities involved - the Fort McKay Cree First Nation, the Mikisew Cree First Nation and the Athabasca Chipewyan First Nation.
