Jan Walker's Introduction to Marquetry       

Jan Walker is a Marquetry artist from Fort Macleod, Alberta (www.jansart.ca).  Marquetry is an ancient art form that uses wood veneers to create images using the beauty of the wood's colour and grain like brush strokes.  Jan gives classes in Marquetry at the Lee Valley Tools store in Calgary (www.leevalley.com) and was encouraged to develop an introductory instruction video by her students.   "Jan Walker's Introduction to Marquetry" was shot by SKB Videography on location in Jan's Fort Macleod studio and is available on both VHS tape and DVD.  A kit that contains selected veneers, a mounting base and the design that is used in the video project is also available for purchase alone or with a video.  Visit Jan's web site for more information or go directly to the order page at www.skbvideography.com/jansart/Jansartsales.html.
